Who wouldn't be attracted to a blog called the Perky Skeptic? I can see how the bi-poplar (and whatever is in the cup) would help with your perkiness (euphemistically speaking), but it sure wouldn't make you that way all the time, eh? Maybe you just don't blog when your un-perky.
Coincidentally, my daughter (5, PDD-NOS, ADHD) believes that I can watch everything that she's doing on the computer while at school. This doesn't scare her; it gives her great comfort, and it is part of her starting-the-school-day ritual to remind me to make sure to watch her on the computer and never stop. I think she got the impression after learning that I use the Verizon Chaperone service to track her cell phone when she goes off to speech class (mostly so I know when to hike over to the bus stop to pick her up afterwards). She doesn't realize that a) I can't track her when she doesn't have her cell phone and b) it only gives a rather coarse location indicator, nothing more.
But it gives her significant comfort, so I've not disabused her of the notion. Interesting to hear of another kid who believes his mother can watch him through the Internet. ;-)
@Cyberlizard-- D'OH!!! :D I'll give it a look, thanks!
@Snowbrush-- Hee, thank you!!! It's true, I rarely blog when I'm un-Perky. Unless I'm crazily, perkily ranting about something. Which... still counts as being perky, doesn't it. Hm.....
@Calli Arcale-- Oh, too funny!!! That is so sweet, that she finds it comforting. :) I think my boy finds it comforting, too.
I'm not sure where he got the idea. I think he extrapolated from all the videos up on YouTube that perhaps ALL HUMAN EXPERIENCE gets recorded on YouTube and put on the internet for all to see.
Wow. Suddenly it feels like YouTube is the Akashic Record! *lol*
I am very perky!!! I tend to ENTHUSE and use CAPITAL LETTERS and exclamation points!!! I persist in calling this a feature, not a bug.
I will provide free illustration for publication in a scholarly work authored by anyone with a single-digit Erdös number!!!
